 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. UNN TAKES ACTION AGAINST LECTURER ACCUSED OF IMPREGNATING FOUR FEMALE STUDENTS. (PHOTO).

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, has suspended a lecturer, Mr. Chigozie Jude Odum, from the Department of Archeology and Tourism, over allegations of impregnating four female students within four years of his appointment.


According to a letter dated February 15, 2025, signed by the Deputy Registrar, Achiuwa F.C. (Mrs), on behalf of the Registrar, Odum's suspension was confirmed. The letter instructed him to hand over all university documents in his possession to the Head of the Department.


As part of the suspension, the university management directed Odum to stay away from his duty post. Additionally, the bursar was instructed to place him on half salary pending the outcome of the investigation into the allegations.


The university's decision to suspend Odum reflects its commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students. The investigation into the allegations is ongoing, and further action will be taken based on its findings.
