 ‘I’ll turn off the mic’ — Remi Tinubu reins in Adeleke’s singing at Ooni’s anniversary First Lady Oluremi Tinubu cautioned Ademola Adeleke, the Osun state governor, for prolonged singing during his remarks at the 10th coronation anniversary celebration of Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife. The moment, captured in a now-viral video, occurred as the governor mounted the podium on Sunday to pay tribute to the monarch and to congratulate the Remi on her newly bestowed chieftaincy title, Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua. Rather than proceed immediately with his formal message, Adeleke, popularly known as the “Dancing Governor” for his spirited public appearances, burst into a short musical chant, drawing laughter from parts of the audience. A GERMAN SHEPHERD LOST ITS LIFE WHILE PROTECTING ITS OWNER FROM A TIGER ATTACK IN UMARIA DISTRICT, MADHYA PRADESH. (PHOTO).

In a tragic yet heroic incident, a German Shepherd lost its life while protecting its owner from a tiger attack in Umaria district, Madhya Pradesh. 

The heart-wrenching event took place on March 1, 2025, near the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Bharhut village. The dog’s bravery has moved people across the country, showcasing the deep bond between humans and their pets.


According to reports, the tiger suddenly emerged from the dense forest and attacked the owner, who was working on his farm. Without hesitation, the loyal German Shepherd jumped into action, confronting the wild predator to give its owner time to escape. The fierce battle between the dog and the tiger lasted for several minutes as the dog fearlessly defended its master.


Despite the dog’s valiant efforts, the tiger’s strength was overwhelming. The tiger eventually dragged the injured dog toward the forest before retreating. Local villagers and the owner rushed to provide medical help, but sadly, the dog succumbed to its injuries a few hours later. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning for the brave pet.


The German Shepherd’s sacrifice has been widely recognized as a testament to the loyalty and courage of dogs. Animal lovers and pet owners across India have expressed their sorrow and admiration for the dog’s selfless act. The incident serves as a reminder of the extraordinary devotion animals can have toward their human companions.
