 HERDSMEN KILL DRIVER ON HUMANITARIAN MISSION IN TARABA STATE  10th January, 2026      A commercial driver, Mr. Amishe Omeny, has been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen while on a humanitarian visit to a displaced community in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State. The deceased, from Tse Amise after Tseem, was reportedly attacked on Friday within Chanchanji Ward as he travelled to Adokia, a displaced settlement located after Tseem Sabe. He was said to have gone to the area to assist villagers with the transportation of foodstuffs. Sources in the community told Benue Info-pedia, that Omeny volunteered his services as a driver to support residents affected by ongoing insecurity, when he was ambushed and killed by the assailants. The killing has sparked grief and outrage among residents, who described the incident as tragic and senseless. A LOUISIANA COLLEGE STUDENT HAS LOST HIS LIFE AFTER A TRAGIC HAZING INCIDENT. (PHOTO).

 A Louisiana college student has lost his life after a tragic hazing incident.


20-year-old Caleb Wilson was rushed to Baton Rouge General Hospital in the early morning hours of February 27th. As doctors scrambled to save the young man's life, individuals involved in the hazing met at an undisclosed location to get their stories straight.


The initial tale told to investigators was that they had all been at the BREC park in Baton Rouge when Caleb had collapsed. 


Sadly, Caleb was pronounced deceased by doctors at Baton Rouge General Hospital shortly after arriving. Hospital staff contacted the Baton Rouge Police Department and an investigation into the death of Caleb Wison began.


Officials quickly realized the entire story about the park had been fabricated and Caleb's passing was due to far more nefarious reasons. Caleb, who was a student at Southern University, had been involved in a hazing ritual in an attempt to join Omega Psi Phi. 


According to the individuals involved, Caleb and nine other pledges, had met with members of Omega Psi Phi at a warehouse in Baton Rouge to participate in the unsanctioned hazing ritual. The nine pledges were made to stand in a line and take punches to the chest by fraternity members. 


According to the witnesses, when Caleb was punched in the chest, he collapsed to the ground and began having a terrible seizure.


 After collapsing, Caleb became unresponsive and was rushed to the hospital where he would be pronounced deceased.


Southern University has released a statement condemning the actions and assuring the public the school is conducting an internal investigation and also cooperating with local authorities. They stated they support punishment to the full extent of the law for any involved individuals. They have also implemented a ban on membership intake for all student organizations until further notice.


The Baton Rouge Police Department have launched a criminal investigation into the death of Caleb Wilson. No arrests have been made at this point.


 Caleb was studying to become a mechanical engineer and was in his junior year at the University. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Caleb Wilson.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
