 Court Jails Two for N14.8m Fraud in Maiduguri Justice B.T Zannah of the Borno State High Court sitting in Maiduguri, on Monday, July 13, 2026 convicted and sentenced two to three years imprisonment. The convicts are: Babagana Bukar and Hauwa Chabri.  The convicts were arraigned on Monday, July 13, 2026 by the Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a separate one -count charge for the offence of criminal misappropriation to the tune of N14,800,000.00 (Fourteen  Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira). The charge against Bukar reads: "That you, Babagana Bukar sometimes in 2025 at Maiduguri, Borno State within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, dishonestly misappropriated and converted to your own use the aggregate sum of N8,800,000.00 (Eight Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira)  money belonging to Bunu Gambo Liman, being amount given to you through Babakura Umar and Bello Adamu for the supplies of 100 bags of IRS...

A MINNEAPOLIS SCHOOL EMPLOYEE HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR TAKING PICTURES OF CHILDREN UNDER HIS CARE AND CREATING AI CHILD PORNOGRAPHY. (PHOTO).

 A Minneapolis school employee has been arrested for taking pictures of children under his care and creating AI child pornography.


30-year-old William Haslach was working as an employee at Independent School District #622 and ISD #834 where he served as a lunch monitor and traffic guard. It was while performing these duties that Haslach was able to take photos of the children under his care. He then used these photos for his own sick purposes.


According to the U.S Attorney's Office, Haslach used the images he captured to create explicit images of the children engaging in "very intimate" acts with AI technology. Due to community guidelines I cannot write what acts the children were doing in the AI creation.


In an interview with police, Haslach admitted to being attracted to children but claimed he had never acted on his impulses.


After Haslach's January arrest, police descended on his home and recovered 800 files from his home computer that contained very disturbing material. 


William Haslach is facing a litany of charges ranging from possession of CP to production of obscene visual representation of child SA in both federal and state court.


Police believe Haslach distributed the images and that there may be more victims out there.


Police are asking if you are aware of Haslach taking photos of your child or if your child was in close contact with Haslach to please call the Minnesota BCA tip line at 1-651-793-2465.
