Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has presented 24 Roxettes Utility Pick-Up vans to members of the Abia State House of Assembly. The vehicles, which were locally produced in Abia, are intended to aid the lawmakers' oversight functions.
Governor Otti handed over the keys to Speaker of the House Emmanuel Emeruwa, fulfilling his promise to equip the members with operational vehicles. The governor emphasized his administration's commitment to supporting indigenous manufacturers, stating that this policy aims to improve the quality of their products.
The manufacturer of the vans, an indigene of Abia from Umunneochi LGA, is nearing completion of a factory in Obuaku, Ukwa West LGA. Governor Otti expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting his administration's efforts to promote local production and patronage.
Deputy Speaker Augustine Meregini thanked Governor Otti on behalf of his colleagues for providing the second set of vehicles to the lawmakers.
