 TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE ABDUCTED NGOSHE WOMEN IN MANDARA MOUNTAIN Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have recorded another significant operational success with the rescue of six abducted civilians and their subsequent reunion with family members in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The rescue operation followed sustained offensive actions, including recent air interdiction missions targeting terrorist enclaves in the Mandara Mountains. Acting on credible intelligence, troops of OPHK, while returning from a successful overnight offensive operation in the early hours of 1 May 2026, intercepted and rescued six women and children  around Amuda—a deserted area between Ngoshe and Gava known for terrorist transit activities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy landed at London's Stansted Airport Saturday, ahead of a summit with European leaders to discuss ending the war in Ukraine. 


A White House meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to secure a deal that would allow the U.S. access to Ukrainian rare mineral rights turned into a heated exchange with the two leaders talking over each other and Trump telling Zelenskyy, "You're either going to make a deal or we're out." 


In a statement on social media after the meeting, Trump indicated the proposed deal is off. 


"I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations," Trump wrote.
