 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East.  Commercial motorcyclist comimits suicide after wife left with children


A commercial motorcyclist simply identified Papa Ejime has reportedly killed himself after he allegedly drank a substance suspected to be an insecticide.


The incident occurred on Sunday morning at Oghara, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State.


It was learnt that the deceased  k!ļļed himself after his marriage crashed recently.


It was gathered that the deceased, a chronic gambler always beat his wife anytime he failed to win.


Neighbours who craved anonymity said early this year, the deceased punched his wife on the mouth, causing her teeth to fall out.


According to the neighbours, before the marriage crashed, his wife has been footing all the bills including house rent, feeding and children school fees.


They added that the woman left the house with her children due to issues relating to domestic violence.


The neighbours also pointed that several attempts by the deceased to bring his wife back failed, before he reportedly took his own life.
