 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings.  Delta Community Protests After Herdsmen Attack, Amputate Man’s Hand


Residents of Uduophori Community, Delta State, staged a protest on Monday, blocking roads to Bomadi and other areas after suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked Freedom Akpodiete, a 28-year-old motorcyclist, amputating his hand.


Protesters accused the herdsmen of preventing farmers from working, destroying crops, committing sexual violence, and demanding ransoms. Community leaders, including ThankGod Ado and Pa Benjamin Obotorino, condemned the 15-year-long crisis, calling for urgent government intervention.


The community also alleged that herdsmen had taken over a local primary school, forcing its closure. They urged authorities to take immediate action before the situation worsens further.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
