 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Eleven Killed, 12 Injured as Bus Overturns in Southern Mexico


At least eleven people lost their lives, and twelve others sustained injuries after a bus overturned in southern Mexico, authorities reported.


The Oaxaca state government stated that the cause of the crash, which occurred near the town of Santo Domingo Narro, is still under investigation.


Expressing his condolences, Oaxaca Governor Salomon Jara assured that support and assistance would be provided to the victims' families.


Speaking on local radio, Interior Minister Jesus Romero revealed that the bus was carrying over 40 passengers and was en route to the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.


Initial reports suggest that the passengers were returning home after attending a political rally in Mexico City organized by President Claudia Sheinbaum on Sunday.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
