 World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler. ENUGU POLICE ARREST ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS, RECOVER FIREARM, AMMUNITION, AND OTHER EXHIBITS.(PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

 ENUGU POLICE OPERATIVES ARREST ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS, RECOVER FIREARM, AMMUNITION, AND OTHER EXHIBITS.


Police operatives attached to Nsukka Urban Division, in collaboration with law-abiding citizens, have arrested two male armed robbery suspects, Ugwu Ejiofor, aged 32, and Sunday Ugwuanyi, aged 26, on March 6, 2025, at about 8:40 p.m. One locally made double-barreled pistol loaded with one live cartridge, an ATM card, two mobile phones, a Yamaha motorcycle used for their criminal operation, and other exhibits were recovered from the suspects.


Preliminary investigations revealed that at about 8:30 p.m. on the same day, the suspects, riding the recovered motorcycle, accosted a female victim at Obukpa Amebo in Nsukka and robbed her of her bag. Upon receiving the report, police operatives, with assistance from law-abiding citizens, swiftly tracked down and arrested the suspects, recovering the exhibits.


The suspects will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
