 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  FG Confirms Remita Shutdown, Introduces TMRAS for Revenue Collection


The Nigerian government has announced that the Treasury Management & Revenue Assurance System (TMRAS) will replace REMITA as the official revenue collection platform starting March 4, 2025.


A memo from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) confirmed the transition, stating that TMRAS will enhance revenue collection, payment management, and tax remittance across government agencies.


The rollout will occur in two phases:

Phase One (March 4, 2025): Covers naira transactions, tax deductions, and payment tracking.

Phase Two (June 1, 2025): Introduces foreign exchange transactions and budgetary controls.


A transition period from March 4 to May 4, 2025, will allow REMITA to run alongside TMRAS, after which all government payments will shift to the new system.
