Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings.  Suspended Rivers Governor Fubara Denies Militant Group Links, Condemns Fake Videos


Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vehemently denied allegations linking him to militant groups, dismissing recent social media posts and videos as malicious attempts to incite tension in the state. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara condemned the circulation of fabricated videos purporting to show explosions at oil and gas facilities in the state.


The statement emphasized that affected communities have debunked these claims, assuring that all critical infrastructure remains intact and operational. Fubara reiterated his commitment to maintaining peace in Rivers State, stressing that governance and development can only thrive in a stable environment.


He warned against exploiting the state's ongoing political crisis for ulterior motives and cautioned bloggers and social media influencers against spreading false information. Fubara urged security agencies to investigate and take decisive action against those responsible for spreading misinformation.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
