 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Suspended Rivers Governor Fubara Denies Militant Group Links, Condemns Fake Videos


Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vehemently denied allegations linking him to militant groups, dismissing recent social media posts and videos as malicious attempts to incite tension in the state. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara condemned the circulation of fabricated videos purporting to show explosions at oil and gas facilities in the state.


The statement emphasized that affected communities have debunked these claims, assuring that all critical infrastructure remains intact and operational. Fubara reiterated his commitment to maintaining peace in Rivers State, stressing that governance and development can only thrive in a stable environment.


He warned against exploiting the state's ongoing political crisis for ulterior motives and cautioned bloggers and social media influencers against spreading false information. Fubara urged security agencies to investigate and take decisive action against those responsible for spreading misinformation.
