 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Suspended Rivers Governor Fubara Denies Militant Group Links, Condemns Fake Videos


Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vehemently denied allegations linking him to militant groups, dismissing recent social media posts and videos as malicious attempts to incite tension in the state. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara condemned the circulation of fabricated videos purporting to show explosions at oil and gas facilities in the state.


The statement emphasized that affected communities have debunked these claims, assuring that all critical infrastructure remains intact and operational. Fubara reiterated his commitment to maintaining peace in Rivers State, stressing that governance and development can only thrive in a stable environment.


He warned against exploiting the state's ongoing political crisis for ulterior motives and cautioned bloggers and social media influencers against spreading false information. Fubara urged security agencies to investigate and take decisive action against those responsible for spreading misinformation.
