Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings.  IBB, Humphrey Nwosu deceived 18m Nigerians, never confessed attrocities – Oshiomhole

Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole has accused the late Chairman of the defunct National Electoral Commission, NEC, Humphrey Nwosu and former military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, IBB, of fooling 18 million Nigerians who voted during the 1993 presidential election.

Oshiomhole made the remark while insisting that Nigeria cannot immortalize Nwosu.

He spoke during his contribution to the debate on the motion sponsored by Enyinnaya Abaribe for the immortalisation of the late Nwosu, on the floor of the senate on Thursday.

He pointed out that the late NEC Chairman failed to confess to the atrocities and events that went wrong during the June 12, 1993, presidential election.

According to Oshiomhole: “Prof. Nwosu and IBB fooled 18 million Nigerians that voted. Therefore, if he was afraid of the gun because we were under a dictatorship, Some people might say, but there were Nigerians who were protesting under the gun without minding the consequences.

“After the end of Babangida’s tenure, the death of Abiola, the birth of the new democracy that produced President Obasanjo, since then, I would have expected Nwosu to be able to say, either on his birthday or any occasion: “now that we are about democracy and there is freedom of speech – even the freedom to lie.

“I would have expected Nwosu to say, “I couldn’t display these numbers now in my record; Abiola won this election, but I’m not able to announce it.’ He died without confessing, and he cannot be rewarded.”
