 HERDSMEN KILL DRIVER ON HUMANITARIAN MISSION IN TARABA STATE  10th January, 2026      A commercial driver, Mr. Amishe Omeny, has been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen while on a humanitarian visit to a displaced community in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State. The deceased, from Tse Amise after Tseem, was reportedly attacked on Friday within Chanchanji Ward as he travelled to Adokia, a displaced settlement located after Tseem Sabe. He was said to have gone to the area to assist villagers with the transportation of foodstuffs. Sources in the community told Benue Info-pedia, that Omeny volunteered his services as a driver to support residents affected by ongoing insecurity, when he was ambushed and killed by the assailants. The killing has sparked grief and outrage among residents, who described the incident as tragic and senseless.  Inter house  Sports: Girls Secondary School Awka Showcases Sporting Talents

In line with the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in prioritizing sporting activities in primary and secondary schools in the state, Girls secondary School, Awka held its inter house sports competition to fish out its budding talents 


The feat was facilitated by the dynamic and pragmatic Principal of the college, Dr.Ndidi Okeke who displayed her marching skills alongside her teachers which the institution is best known for 


In her message on the occasion, Dr Okeke appreciated the efforts of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in providing free education for all public schools pupils at the primary and secondary school levels, recruitment of teachers  in the state and for his education friendliness extended to all categories of schools in the state .


Accordingly, Dr. Okeke expressed gratitude to God for the grace upon the governor in piloting the affairs of the state,for the proprietor of the school,the Archbishop Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Anglican Communion, His Grace Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim (PHD) ,the State Commissioner For Education, Prof.Ngozi Chuma-Udeh,the Chairman PPSSC, Prof.Nkechi Ikediugwu and other stakeholders in education.


The principal further appreciated her students for their sense of accomplishment in sports and in celebrating the vibrant spirit of the college.


She spoke of the imperatives of sports such as inculcating the spirit of winning and nurturing team work, resilience and fair play,and further used the forum to announce the reality of the 8th edition of the schools Fountain Magazine a testament to the incredible talent and creativity of it's students and teachers.


On page 27 of the magazine, some of the achievements of the principal who has operated in the college for 17 months included; reconnection of light in the college hostels after one year of blackout, installation of CCTV cameras in the college, among others.


In an address the member in charge of PPSSC Awka zone, Dr.Njideka Okeke commended Dr Okeke and the school management team headed by Sir James Ezeume for their hard work in promoting the activities of the college.


Highpoints of the occasion were the launching of the school's magazine, sporting activities,cultural dances among other events.


Some distinguished guests that graced the occasion included; the Administrative Assistant to Archbishop Ibezim , Venarable Chukwuma Oranye, the Secretary PPSSC, Mrs Benedine Anagor, the diocesan Education Secretary, Reverend Canon Jonathan Ikpoyi, the School Manager, Venerable Dr Wilson Anowai, the Chairman PTA of the college, Mr Ikenna Okonkwo,Mr.OkechukwuChigbo who represented the Chairman of the occasion, Ambassador Abuchi Attah, the Palace Secretary of the traditional ruler of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu, Chief Pius Okonkwo,some past principals of the college,other invited schools principals,among others.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
