 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Jandor Announces Return to APC After Leaving PDP


Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has officially announced his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after leaving the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).


In a statement shared on his official page, Jandor explained that his decision followed extensive consultations with family, political associates, and supporters. He emphasized that a political party's primary goal is to win elections and form a government, which he believes the APC prioritizes more effectively than the PDP.


Reflecting on his time in the PDP, Jandor noted that while he was proud of his 2023 gubernatorial campaign and legal battle up to the Supreme Court, the party’s internal leadership worked against its own members. In contrast, he acknowledged the APC’s strong leadership, particularly praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ability to secure victories for the party.


Jandor expressed gratitude to key figures who facilitated his return, including the President, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Seyi Tinubu, who personally reached out to encourage him. He assured his supporters that the move was in Lagos' best interest and called on them to join him in working towards a better Lagos.


He reaffirmed his commitment to service, integrity, and progress, pledging to contribute his experience and vision to national development within the APC.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
