Guinea-Bissau stops vaccine study funded by Trump administration Guinea-Bissau's foreign minister has said his government has stopped a study funded by the Trump administration aiming to evaluate side effects of the life-saving hepatitis B vaccine, including any links to autism. The West African country, one of the region's poorest, has high rates of hepatitis B, and the prospective study had drawn an outcry from scientists and international health bodies because only half the newborns in the trial would get the vaccine at birth.  Kaduna Labour Party Former Zonal Secretary Of All Support Groups Defects To ADC, Cites Lack Of Internal Democracy, Transactional Politics

Amb. Comr. Onuh Henry, the former Zonal Secretary of all Labour Party (LP) support groups in Zone Two, Kaduna, has officially resigned from the party and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Announcing his defection in a statement made available to KADUNA POLITICAL AFFAIRS on Sunday, Henry stated that his decision followed deep reflection and consultations with his supporters, as he could no longer remain in a party that had abandoned the principles of internal democracy and good governance.

“The Labour Party, which once held great promise as a movement for true change, has sadly become entangled in transactional politics, undermining the aspirations of millions of Nigerians who believed in its vision,” he said.

Henry expressed confidence in the ADC as a political platform that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and inclusivity.

He said he believes the party offers Nigerians a credible alternative that puts the national interest above personal ambitions.

“I encourage all members of the Obidient Movement and every Nigerian who desires real political transformation to rethink their stance and align with a party that upholds true democratic values,” he added.

He extended his gratitude to his family, supporters, and political associates for their unwavering support and reaffirmed his commitment to building a better Nigeria.
