 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.  Local Government Chairmen Still Under Governors’ Control – Ex-Kano LG Chairman


Local government chairmen in Kano and other northern states have denied receiving any directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regarding signatory verification for direct allocation disbursement. Despite reports of the CBN initiating the process, no local government in Kano has opened an account with the apex bank. Officials from Benue, Bauchi, Plateau, and Kwara also confirmed they had not been contacted.


The delay in implementing financial autonomy, despite a Supreme Court ruling in July 2024, has raised concerns among local government officials. However, former Wudil Local Government Chairman, Yusuf Ibrahim Lajawa, argues that local governments remain powerless, as state governors still control their affairs.


Lajawa insists that without independent electoral bodies overseeing local government elections, autonomy will remain unattainable. He also asserts that local governments can sustain themselves financially if state governments stop interfering in their allocations.


Although the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of financial independence for local governments, its implementation remains stalled, leaving local authorities in uncertainty.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
