 Sudan war: Hundreds of civilians displaced in latest South Kordofan's violence A total of 570 civilians were displaced from Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, over a three-day period due to deteriorating security conditions, the UN International Organization for Migration (IOM) said. The organisation said in a statement that its tracking teams recorded the displacement of 570 people from Kadugli between 8 and 10 January, as insecurity escalated in the city. The displaced families headed toward areas in White Nile State, southern Sudan. The situation in Kadugli remains “tense and volatile,” the agency said, adding that its teams are continuing to closely monitor developments on the ground. Last week, IOM reported that the number of displaced people across Sudan’s three Kordofan states, North, West and South, had risen to 64,890 between 25 October and 30 December 2025. Actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed gratitude and pride in how her good deeds have positively impacted her children.

In a recent interview with Seun Oloketuyi, Iyabo said she believes that her kids are reaping the benefits of her hard work and kindness.

Iyabo emphasised the value of self-reliance, noting that individuals must take care of themselves.

She also credited daughter, Priscilla, with encouraging her to join TikTok, which has generated significant income for her.

Iyabo said: “Good pay. I feel like what I am reaping today or my children are reaping today is the good that I have done.

“When I die today, nobody is dying with me. When I am hungry right now, no matter how much you love me, you won’t give me your womb or your intestines to quench my hunger; I have to sort myself out.

“Every man is on his own. When you have kids early, trust me you don’t want to grow old because your kids will always make you feel young. Priscilla talked me into using TikTok, if I didn’t have her in my life, I would probably not have made so much money on TikTok”.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
