 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.  Niger Assembly Approves New Electricity Regulatory Commission Members


The Niger State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of a new chairman and commissioners for the Niger State Electricity Regulatory Commission following a request from Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.


The confirmation was announced during a plenary session after Speaker Muhammad Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji read the governor’s correspondence.


The newly confirmed members are:

-Dr. Mohammed Sharu (Bida) – Chairman

-Dr. Maiwada S. Bello (Paikoro) – Commissioner for Enforcement and Consumer Affairs

-Dr. Muhammad Ameen Shakur (Bida) – Commissioner for Licensing and Regulations

-Jiro Ahmed Mohammed (Kontagora) – Commissioner for Rural Electricity Access Management

-Adamu Nagogo (Chanchaga) – Commissioner for Finance and Administration


Speaker Sarkin Daji congratulated the appointees and urged them to leverage their expertise to enhance Niger State’s electricity sector.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
