 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Niger Assembly Approves New Electricity Regulatory Commission Members


The Niger State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of a new chairman and commissioners for the Niger State Electricity Regulatory Commission following a request from Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.


The confirmation was announced during a plenary session after Speaker Muhammad Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji read the governor’s correspondence.


The newly confirmed members are:

-Dr. Mohammed Sharu (Bida) – Chairman

-Dr. Maiwada S. Bello (Paikoro) – Commissioner for Enforcement and Consumer Affairs

-Dr. Muhammad Ameen Shakur (Bida) – Commissioner for Licensing and Regulations

-Jiro Ahmed Mohammed (Kontagora) – Commissioner for Rural Electricity Access Management

-Adamu Nagogo (Chanchaga) – Commissioner for Finance and Administration


Speaker Sarkin Daji congratulated the appointees and urged them to leverage their expertise to enhance Niger State’s electricity sector.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
