NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Ohio man arrested after the 12-year-old boy he forced into ice baths tragically dies.

Authorities were called to a home at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (March 22nd) in Akron, Ohio.

The initial call was to report a 12-year-old boy was suffering from a cardiac arrest. EMS transported Jadako Taylor to Akron's Children's Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. It was recorded that Jadako had a body temperature of just 74 degrees when EMS responded to the scene...

As police began investigating this young boy's death, a chilling tale emerged.  According to reports by Akron Municipal Court, 23-year-old Anthony McCants caused the death of Jadako by forcing him into ice baths.

The courts allege McCants forced Jadako into 2 ice baths between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. The first ice bath lasted approximately 45 minutes. Once Jadako was allowed out he was forced to do push ups and other exercises.

He was then forced into a second ice bath that lasted around 30 minutes.  After his second ordeal Jadako began to vomit and seize, prompting the call to EMS.

Anthony McCants was arrested on felony child endangering and had his bond set at $500,000. He has pleaded not guilty.

May the young boy finally be able to rest in peace. This is a heartbreaking story and a terrible fate for the child.
