COURTESY VISIT BY THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE ON DRUGS AND CRIME FOR GLOBAL MARITIME COOPERATION PROGRAMME TO NAVAL HEADQUARTERS On Friday 7 March 2025, The Team Lead of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Global Maritime Cooperation Programme (UNODC/GMCP) and the Danish Defence Advisor to Nigeria, Navy Captain Soren Skovbjerg Nielsen paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla who was represented by the Chief of Training (COT), Rear Admiral CE Atebi at Naval Headquarters, Abuja. The Team Lead stated that the visit was aimed at evaluating the engagements within the framework of Denmark's effort to strengthen Maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea by enhancing the capabilities of regional and national maritime law enforcement institutions.
