Police Rescue Ex-Minister Adelabu’s Sister and Twin Sons in High-Stakes Ibadan Operation In a major triumph for local law enforcement, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have successfully rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her twin sons, Peter and Paul, after three agonizing days in captivity. The high-stakes, late-night rescue operation was executed at approximately 7:30 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Security sources confirm that the mother and her children were recovered alive and well.  OPERATION VALA UMGODI TEAM NABS ILLEGAL MINING SUSPECT IN MOPANI DISTRICT


A 28-year-old male suspect was arrested for illegal sand mining at Molati, an unlawful mining site in the Letsitele policing area, on Tuesday, 11 March 2025, at around 20h30.


Members of the Operation Vala Umgodi task team acted on intelligence and successfully apprehended the suspect.


Authorities confiscated several items, including a cellphone, shovel, pick, bin, and buckets, which were taken to the local police station.
