 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. Saudi Arabia Confirms Sunday For Eid Al-Fitr Celebrations

The moon sighting in Saudi Arabia is currently underway to mark the beginning of Eid al-Fitr. The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has called upon citizens to sight the crescent moon today, March 29, 2025, which corresponds to the 29th day of Ramadan 1446 AH ¹.


If the moon is sighted, Eid al-Fitr celebrations will commence on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Otherwise, the celebrations will begin on Monday, March 31, 2025. The Royal Court of Saudi Arabia typically makes the official announcement after sunset, based on reports from the Kingdom's observatories ¹.


In Saudi Arabia, the moon sighting process involves local residents reporting to the nearest court if they spot the crescent moon. The Supreme Court then confirms the sighting and announces the start of Eid al-Fitr ¹.
