 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. Saudi Arabia Confirms Sunday For Eid Al-Fitr Celebrations

The moon sighting in Saudi Arabia is currently underway to mark the beginning of Eid al-Fitr. The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has called upon citizens to sight the crescent moon today, March 29, 2025, which corresponds to the 29th day of Ramadan 1446 AH ¹.


If the moon is sighted, Eid al-Fitr celebrations will commence on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Otherwise, the celebrations will begin on Monday, March 31, 2025. The Royal Court of Saudi Arabia typically makes the official announcement after sunset, based on reports from the Kingdom's observatories ¹.


In Saudi Arabia, the moon sighting process involves local residents reporting to the nearest court if they spot the crescent moon. The Supreme Court then confirms the sighting and announces the start of Eid al-Fitr ¹.
