Saudi Arabia Confirms Sunday For Eid Al-Fitr Celebrations

The moon sighting in Saudi Arabia is currently underway to mark the beginning of Eid al-Fitr. The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has called upon citizens to sight the crescent moon today, March 29, 2025, which corresponds to the 29th day of Ramadan 1446 AH ¹.


If the moon is sighted, Eid al-Fitr celebrations will commence on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Otherwise, the celebrations will begin on Monday, March 31, 2025. The Royal Court of Saudi Arabia typically makes the official announcement after sunset, based on reports from the Kingdom's observatories ¹.


In Saudi Arabia, the moon sighting process involves local residents reporting to the nearest court if they spot the crescent moon. The Supreme Court then confirms the sighting and announces the start of Eid al-Fitr ¹.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
