Tinubu forgave Northern govs who opposed him in 2023, says Shettima Vice President Kashim Shettima has said President Bola Tinubu demonstrated political maturity by forgiving northern governors who opposed his presidential bid in the 2023 election, urging politicians in Kwara State to similarly reconcile after their contests. Shettima stated this on Wednesday in Ilorin while speaking at the turbaning of the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari. The Vice President, who spoke against the backdrop of political activities ahead of the 2027 elections, urged politicians to regard political contests as temporary and avoid allowing disagreements arising from them to become permanent divisions. He said, “I call on all of us to unite in this political season and play politics without bitterness.  UPDATE ON THE DISCOVERY OF THE LIFELESS BODIES OF THREE CHILDREN IN A FRIDGE AT NNEWI: CP ORUTUGU AUTHORIZES THE BEREAVED FAMILY TO BURY THE CHILDREN TO ASSUAGE THEIR GRIEF; ASSURES OF SPEEDY POLICE ACTION WHEN NECESSARY AS THE COMMAND AWAITS THE MEDICAL FINDINGS TO COMPLETE INVESTIGATIONS


The Commissioner of Police *CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD*, acknowledging the grief of the family of the late three children found in a fridge at Nnewi has granted the request of the bereaved family to bury their children. He assured the family of swift Police action when necessary, pending the outcome of the medical findings to complete the ongoing investigation. 


The CP further stated that the Command is working diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident.


Given the above the Command wishes to state that the details of the investigation are still incomplete and urged *Ndi Anambra* and all concerned to be patient and seeks continuous cooperation from the Community/Area to provide justice for the victims and their families.
