  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  'Upload Your IJMB, JUPEB Results or Forfeit Admission' - JAMB Orders Direct Entry Candidates


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a warning to all Direct Entry (DE) candidates who applied for admission through the 2024 DE mode using awaiting results from IJMB or JUPEB. According to JAMB's spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, these candidates must urgently visit any approved CBT centre to upload their results as soon as they are released.


Benjamin emphasized that failure to comply with this directive would result in disqualification from consideration for the 2024 DE admission. This policy is similar to that for UTME candidates, where no candidate will be considered for admission with awaiting results.
