 Gov. Ododo’s Executive Proclamation Not State of Emergency  Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo  has clarified that his recent Executive Proclamation on security protocols in the state is not a declaration of a state of emergency but a set of necessary measures to enhance the security architecture to crackdown on criminals in all parts of the state.  This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, explaining that the proclamation is a lawful constitutional measure aimed at strengthening security coordination and protecting lives and property across Kogi State.  Gov.  Abia State Governor Orders Manhunt for Killers of Chinese Miners and Police Officer


In a swift response to a deadly ambush, Governor Alex Otti has directed security agents to track down and apprehend the unidentified gunmen responsible for the murder of two Chinese miners and a police officer at a mining site in Uturu, Abia State. The governor's directive comes in the wake of the brutal attack, which was confirmed by the Abia State Police Command on Saturday.


In a statement released on Sunday by Ferdinand Ekeoma, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, Otti expressed his outrage at the unprovoked assault on innocent individuals. He pledged the state government's unwavering support to security agencies in their efforts to ensure that the perpetrators face justice.


Governor Otti emphasized that his administration has prioritized creating a conducive environment for businesses and economic activities while also safeguarding lives and property through enhanced support for security agencies. He condemned the attack as bearing the hallmarks of terrorism and called on all people of goodwill to denounce the incident.


To prevent future incursions by criminals from neighboring states, Otti vowed to strengthen security cooperation with Abia’s bordering states, aiming to establish a robust security framework. The governor extended his condolences to the Nigerian Police Force, the Chinese Embassy, and the families of the victims of the Uturu attack, assuring them of his commitment to justice.
