 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion.  ANAMBRA POLICE PARTNERS MINISTRY OF TOURISM TO HOST RESTAURANT AND BAR OWNERS TO ENHANCE SECURITY ON CLUB ROAD AWKA AND OTHER TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN THE STATE


The Commissioner of Police Anambra State, *CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD* on Thursday, April 10, 2025, partnered with the Anambra State Ministry of Tourism to host the Anambra State Restaurant and Bar Owners Association at the Police Command Headquarters in Awka. The meeting focused on implementing enhanced security and safety measures to safeguard businesses, employees and customers, particularly on Club Road, Awka and other key entertainment and tourist attractions in the State.  


During his address, *CP Orutugu* disclosed that security assessments revealed that some bars and lounges were being used as meeting points by criminal elements. He urged business owners to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by maintaining vigilance and promptly reporting suspicious activities. The CP assured the public of increased police patrols and improved surveillance to deter crimes and to swiftly address security threats.  


The Commissioner of Culture and Tourism Hon Don Onyeji thanked the *CP* for this initiative and pledged the support of his Ministry to assist the Command in this regard. He also noted that Anambra State has a rich cultural heritage, with numerous tourist attractions such as Agulu Lake, Ogbunike Cave and Igbo Ukwu Museum, etc which showcase the State's history, art and natural beauty. 


The Association was pleased with the development and promised immediate implementation of some of the directives by the Command. 


In attendance includes the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operation DCP Ibrahim Ezekiel, Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of State Intelligence Department ACP Tochukwu Umeh, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security (Anti-Cultism) Hon Kingsley Ezika and senior members of the Association. 


The Police Command remains committed to opening more channels of engagement to improve safety and security in the State.
