 YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES ENROLLMENT OF RETIREES INTO THE STATES HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT  Yobe state government has approved the enrollment of the state and local government retirees into the state  contributory  Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) social equity programme, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to strengthen social protection and expand access to quality healthcare .  Anambra Woman Killed by Stray Bullet; Vigilante Shooter Arrested


A woman was fatally struck by a stray bullet on Tuesday night at Ibeto Junction in Nnewi, Anambra State. The incident occurred when a member of the local vigilante group, Operation Udo Ga Chi, allegedly fired shots while attempting to navigate a traffic jam.


Eyewitnesses reported that the vigilante operative began shooting indiscriminately instead of assisting with traffic control. The woman was hit during the gunfire, rushed to a nearby hospital, and later pronounced dead.


In response, the Anambra State government has identified and arrested the shooter, pledging to ensure justice is served.
