First responders in Franklin County, Illinois were called to the scene of a house fire on Thursday morning, April 3rd.
As a firefighter was trying to gain entry to the home, an explosion occurred causing the roof where he was standing to collapse, trapping the firefighter underneath.
This is when firefighters and one lone good samaritan (the homeowner) on scene sprang into action. The group of heroes rushed towards the danger and lifted the roof off of the trapped firefighter! The firefighter was then able to be pulled out from the wreckage.
The trapped man only suffered minor injuries thanks to the quick and selfless actions of the firefighters and one selfless bystander.
