 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. DEVASTATING FIRE LEAVES TENANT HOMELESS IN ABA. (PHOTO).

A massive fire swept through a residential building at 74 Lagos Street, Obohia road, Aba, Abia State, on Tuesday, leaving its occupants without a home. The inferno, which started while residents were asleep, ravaged the entire storey apartment, causing immense distress among those affected.


Although no lives were lost, the fire's cause remains unknown. However, some residents suspect a sudden electrical spark in one of the rooms may have triggered the blaze. Quick-thinking youths and sympathizers at Obohia road prevented the fire from spreading to nearby houses and shops.


The affected tenants have described the incident as a major disaster and are appealing to the Abia State government for assistance. Despite efforts to reach him, the Chief Fire Officer of Abia State, Nnanna Arua, was unavailable for an official statement.
