 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Easter: Nigerian Govt declares Friday, Monday as public holidays


The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21 as public holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday.


This was disclosed in a statement by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Tuesday in Abuja.


Announcing this on behalf of the Federal Government, the Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to Christians across the country on this joyous occasion.


Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of embodying the virtues of the sacrifice and love displayed by Jesus Christ, having to die for the redemption of man.


The minister urged Nigerians to use the holiday period to pray for the peace, unity, and stability of the nation.


According to him, President Bola Tinubu was committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to strengthen national growth and development.


Tunji-Ojo also beseech the Nigerian citizens to extend love and goodwill to their neighbours through acts of kindness and generosity.


He felicitated with all Christians and wished them a blissful Easter celebration, extending warm holiday greetings to all Nigerians
