 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area.  ELEVEN SUSPECTS ARRESTED DURING OPERATION VALA UMGODI IN LIMPOPO


Eleven (11) suspects aged between 20 and 54 were arrested during the ongoing Operation Vala Umgodi in Limpopo on Friday, 25 April 2025. The arrests took place across the Sekhukhune, Mopani, and Vhembe districts.


In Sekhukhune, four (4) suspects were caught in the Hlogotlou policing area for illegal sand mining. Members of Operation Vala Umgodi spotted the suspects loading sand into trucks at Luckau Village. Upon investigation, it was found that they had no permits to mine in the area. They were immediately arrested, and police confiscated two white Mercedes Benz trucks, a white Toyota Dyna truck, four pickaxes, eleven shovels, and five spades.


Meanwhile, in Mopani and Vhembe districts, seven (7) suspects aged between 20 and 47 were arrested for being illegal immigrants. These arrests were made in the Letsitele and Musina policing areas.


All suspects are expected to appear in their respective local Magistrate’s Courts soon.
