 2027: BENUE GOVT TELLS APPOINTEES, DECLARE NOW OR STEP ASIDE 17th December, 2025   The Benue State Government has directed all political appointees seeking to contest elective offices to formally declare their intentions and tender their resignation letters. In a statement issued from the Office of the Deputy Governor, the directive follows the surge in political activities and growing expressions of interest in elective positions across the state. According to the notice, affected appointees are required to submit written expressions of interest for their preferred offices, alongside formal resignation letters, to the Office of the Deputy Governor on or before Thursday, December 18, 2025. The submissions will be transmitted to Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia for further consideration and necessary action.  Enugu Govt cancels Saturday’s environmental sanitation exercise


The Enugu State Government has announced the cancellation of this month’s environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025.


A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia said the cancellation was to enable candidates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to participate in the exam scheduled for that day freely.

 

The government urged the good people and residents of the state to clean up their surroundings as usual, but emphasized that there would be no restriction of movement.


Meanwhile, the Enugu State  Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has released an updated statement dated Tuesday, April 22, 2026 announcing the cancellation of the exercise.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
