 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. Ex-NYSC DG Tsiga, 18 Kidnap Victims Handed Over to NSA


The National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) has officially handed over former NYSC Director General, Maharazu Tsiga, and 18 other rescued kidnap victims to National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu in Abuja.


Tsiga was abducted on February 5, 2025, from his hometown in Bakori LGA, Katsina State, and regained freedom on Wednesday after 56 days in captivity.


During the handover, Ribadu praised security forces and intelligence agencies for their efforts, reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to national security.
