 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has dismissed rumours making the rounds that he plans to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC

The governor, in a post shared on his verified Facebook and X handles, reaffirmed his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, describing himself as a bona fide member of the party.

“I am Dauda Lawal, a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Disregard the fake news from detractors determined to distract us from the RESCUE MISSION we have embarked on,” he said.

He stressed that his focus remains on delivering the mandate given to him by the people of Zamfara State and not on political distractions.

The clarification comes following widespread speculation alleging that the Governor was considering a move to the APC.
