NKECHI EZE, ON TOUR OF POLICE MEDICAL FACILITIES IN THE STATE As AIG Intensifies Advocacy on “Know Your Numbers” Health Campaign The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc mnips PhD, today 19th February 2026, received on behalf of officers and men of the Command, the Pioneer Force Medical Director, Nkechi Eze BDS MPH, fspsp Assistant Inspector-General of Police, during her official tour of all Police medical facilities in the State. The CP warmly welcomed the AIG and her entourage, describing the visit as timely and significant in strengthening healthcare delivery within the Command. He expressed appreciation for the Force Medical Directorate’s commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Police personnel.  In Anambra, NSCDC, NDE Revamp Partnership Against Crime, Criminality

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State, Maku Olatunde has pledged to revitalize the NSCDC partnership with the National Directorate of Employment( NDE)  to address the rising cases of violent crimes, and criminality among the youths.


This is contained in a press release by the Head, Media and Tactical, NSCDC, Anambra State Command, SC Okadigbo Edwin 


According to him,"Commandant Maku stated this on Thursday, April ,10, 2025 when he played host to the Anambra State Coordinator, NDE, Mrs. Chika Ufelle  at the State Command Headquarters, Awka.


"The NSCDC State boss commended the job creation and skills development initiatives of the NDE in line with Mr. President's agenda of tackling poverty through various interventions in job creation, entrepreneurship development and public works programme to address youths' unemployment, social inequality and poverty. 


"He promised to provide adequate security protection to the NDE in the performance of their duties aimed at achieving their set goals which complement  NSCDC's role in the protection of Critical, National, State and Local Government Assets and Infrastructure.


"Earlier, Mrs Ufelle said NDE was established to combat mass unemployment through skills acquisition, self-employment and labour-intensive work schemes in order to equip  youths with emerging skills that will enable them become globally competitive.


"According to her, the Directorate  (NDE) plays a vital role in combating poverty in Nigeria, and its significance has increased under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration with emphasis focused on creating employment opportunities and promoting economic growth through skills acquisition.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
