 YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES ENROLLMENT OF RETIREES INTO THE STATES HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT  Yobe state government has approved the enrollment of the state and local government retirees into the state  contributory  Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) social equity programme, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to strengthen social protection and expand access to quality healthcare .  Jigawa Govt Mandates Hijab for Female Security Personnel on Duty


The Jigawa State Government has mandated that all female security personnel wear hijabs while on duty, in a move to accommodate religious and cultural practices.


Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Sagir Musa, announced the directive following a State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Umar Namadi.


The order applies to female employees of three private security firms contracted to guard schools, hospitals, and courts. Musa said the decision aims to create an inclusive work environment and boost the confidence of female operatives.


He added that the policy is in line with the state’s commitment to modesty, dignity, and workplace inclusion. Governor Namadi recently approved the recruitment of 9,969 youths as security personnel for public institutions.
