Blaming opposition for hunger is ‘delusion’, Atiku tells Tinubu Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of blaming the opposition for the country’s economic hardship. He said the President was trying to evade responsibility for his administration’s policies. Tinubu had earlier on Saturday blamed his political opponents for hunger and poverty in the country while speaking at the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna. “I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did! They created the hunger, they created the poverty. We are trying to eradicate it,” the President said.  Jigawa Govt Mandates Hijab for Female Security Personnel on Duty


The Jigawa State Government has mandated that all female security personnel wear hijabs while on duty, in a move to accommodate religious and cultural practices.


Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Sagir Musa, announced the directive following a State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Umar Namadi.


The order applies to female employees of three private security firms contracted to guard schools, hospitals, and courts. Musa said the decision aims to create an inclusive work environment and boost the confidence of female operatives.


He added that the policy is in line with the state’s commitment to modesty, dignity, and workplace inclusion. Governor Namadi recently approved the recruitment of 9,969 youths as security personnel for public institutions.
