 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Lagos Pensioners Give Sanwo-Olu 14-Day Ultimatum Over Unpaid Entitlements


The Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Lagos State chapter, has issued a 14-day ultimatum to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to address their grievances, including the non-implementation of the N32,000 pension increase and 57 months’ unpaid arrears from the 2019 Consequential Adjustment.


During a press conference on Wednesday, NUP Chairman Rev. Oluremi Johnson lamented failed attempts to engage state officials, stating:


“We’ve called, written letters, but they keep avoiding us.”


Vice Chairman Rev. Dr. Titus Gregory Aderemi decried the poor welfare of retirees, many of whom survive on as little as N5,000 monthly, despite years of service.


The union has threatened further action if their demands are not met, urging the government to respect its senior citizens.
