 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. Nigerian Navy Intercepts Over 1,300 Bags of Smuggled Rice in Ikorodu, Lagos


The Nigerian Navy has intercepted 1,306 bags of smuggled foreign parboiled rice in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The operation was conducted by the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT under Operation AWATSE during a routine patrol over the weekend.


According to Commodore Paul Nimmyel, Commander of NNS BEECROFT, the Navy’s Quick Response Team pursued the suspects after they attempted to evade a security checkpoint. The operation was successful, with no casualties reported.


The seized rice has been handed over to the Nigeria Customs Service for further action, in line with standard procedures. The Navy emphasized its commitment to supporting statutory agencies in curbing smuggling and securing Nigeria’s maritime domain.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
