 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  NSCDC Arrests 45-Year-Old for Railway Vandalism in Bauchi, Recovers Stolen Tracks

The Bauchi State Command of the NSCDC has arrested a 45-year-old man, Usman Jungudo, for railway vandalism and recovered stolen railway materials worth millions.


Commandant Oloyede Nelson Oyerinde said the arrest followed intelligence from the DSS, leading to the recovery of a Peugeot J5 van loaded with vandalized components, including 53 sleepers, 14 fish plates, and 20 bags of charcoal.


The suspect reportedly confessed to dismantling and selling the parts. Oyerinde vowed zero tolerance for vandalism and promised full prosecution. Investigations are ongoing.
