 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Obi Cubana Names Biological Son as Next of Kin Amid Adopted Son’s Claim


Nigerian businessman Obi Cubana has publicly declared his biological son, Alex, as his next of kin, following a claim by his adopted son, Chidi, on social media. Chidi sparked the controversy with a TikTok post captioned, “Nothing do my shoulder, I just realise say I be next of kin.”


In response, Cubana shared an Instagram photo of Alex, captioning it, “Ancient and modern, eyes on the ball. @dtwalx aka next of kin.” He reinforced Alex’s status in a comment on another post, writing, “Correct boy, original next-of-kin.”


The public exchange has drawn criticism, with many online accusing Cubana of handling the matter openly rather than resolving it privately with Chidi, fueling widespread debate on social media.
