 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates.  POLICE-LED SECURITY FORCE DISLODGE A CRIMINAL CAMP IN OGBUNKA: NOTES THAT THE JOINT SECURITY FORCE SHALL CONTINUE TO DENY UNREPENTANT CRIMINALS THE SPACE TO COMMIT HAVOC IN THE STATE



The Police-led Joint Security Team comprising the Army, from the 302 Artillery Regiment (GS), Navy from the Naval Command, Department of State Security, Anambra State Vigilante, acting on information received over time dislodged a criminal Camp at Ogbunka. 


The Joint Security Team in a six (6) hours gun battle with the armed criminals, due to its superior firepower diffused some explosives used as shields on the camp by the hoodlums. The team also recovered a lot of relief materials like pots, foodstuffs and parts of dismembered suspected stolen vehicles even as some of the criminals escaped with various degrees of bullet injuries inflicted on them. The Operatives have taken over the area to sustain security dominance aimed at addressing any untoward situation that may arise and to  possibly arrest the fleeing suspects.


Given the above, the Anambra State Police Command assures on behalf of other security agencies that the confidence reposed on her by Ndi Anambra and residents alike for the protection of lives and properties is not taken for granted.
