 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award.  Portable and Speed Darlington to Settle Feud in Celebrity Boxing Match


A highly anticipated celebrity boxing match is set to take place on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos State, featuring controversial Nigerian musicians Speed Darlington and Portable.


The feud between the two artists began in March when Darlington offered Portable N500,000 to perform at his forthcoming show. Portable deemed the amount "ridiculous" and tagged Darlington "poor," stating that he charges N20 million for performances.


The exchange escalated, with Portable challenging Darlington to a fight and boasting that he would emerge victorious, just as he did in a previous celebrity boxing match against popular actor Charles Okocha in December 2023.


Following widespread demand from netizens, the match has been organized, with the promoter, Mygamerush, announcing the fight on Instagram, billing it as a battle for "ultimate street supremacy" between two "street kings."

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
