 Senator Sunday Karimi has raised concerns over the growing incidence of kidnapping and banditry in Kogi State, describing abductions as a daily occurrence in the state. Karimi made the remarks on Wednesday during plenary while contributing to a motion of urgent public importance sponsored by Senator Abdulfatai Buhari on the recent abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Ogbomoso. The lawmaker said kidnapping and banditry have become major security challenges threatening the stability of the country, stressing that responsibility for addressing the menace should not rest solely on the Federal Government. According to him, bandits invaded Ayedun Bunu, a community in Kogi West Senatorial District, in the early hours of Monday and abducted 28 residents.  Portable and Speed Darlington to Settle Feud in Celebrity Boxing Match


A highly anticipated celebrity boxing match is set to take place on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos State, featuring controversial Nigerian musicians Speed Darlington and Portable.


The feud between the two artists began in March when Darlington offered Portable N500,000 to perform at his forthcoming show. Portable deemed the amount "ridiculous" and tagged Darlington "poor," stating that he charges N20 million for performances.


The exchange escalated, with Portable challenging Darlington to a fight and boasting that he would emerge victorious, just as he did in a previous celebrity boxing match against popular actor Charles Okocha in December 2023.


Following widespread demand from netizens, the match has been organized, with the promoter, Mygamerush, announcing the fight on Instagram, billing it as a battle for "ultimate street supremacy" between two "street kings."
