THREE NATIVE DOCTORS ARRAIGNED IN ANAMBRA FOR ALLEGED INVOLVEMENT IN MONEY RITUALS. (PHOTO).

Three native doctors, Onyebuchi Okocha (also known as Onyeze Jesus), Chidozie Nwangwu (popularly known as Akwa Okuko), and Ekene Igboekweze (known as Eke Hit), have been arraigned before a high court in Anambra State.

The native doctors were charged with preparing money rituals and protective charms for criminals. They were arraigned separately before Honourable Justice Jude Obiorah, and their charges were read out to them in a heavily congested court.

Justice Obiorah adjourned the matter until April 11, 2025. Speaking to newsmen after the court proceedings, one of the Counsels for the defendants, Remigus Okoli, alleged that the state government sought to remand the defendants without giving them adequate time to prepare their defense.

Efforts to speak with Counsels to the state government, led by F.C. Okeke, were unsuccessful.
