 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration.  UK Investigates Prince Harry’s African Charity, Sentebale


The UK Charity Commission has launched an investigation into Sentebale, the charity Prince Harry co-founded in memory of Princess Diana.


In a statement on Thursday, the Commission said the probe would assess whether the current and former trustees, including the chair, had fulfilled their duties.


Prince Harry welcomed the inquiry, stating:


“We fully expect it will unveil the truth that collectively forced us to resign.”


Founded in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, Sentebale focuses on health issues, wealth inequality, and climate resilience among young people in Lesotho and Botswana.
