Former ESPN anchor Sage Steele apologized to her kids before suing network Sage Steele, former ESPN anchor turned conservative commentator, recently revealed the candid conversation she had with her children before filing a lawsuit against the network.  Steele, who shares three adult children with ex-husband Jonathan Bailey, explained that she warned them about the backlash they might face, urging them not to defend her but to stand firm in the importance of “diversity of thought.”  Her son encouraged her, telling her it was “about time” she stood up for herself.  A MOMENT OF GRATITUDE AND RENEWED COMMITMENT @ 65!

Today, as I mark my 65th birthday, my heart is filled with gratitude to the Almighty God for the gift of life, the grace of leadership, and the privilege to serve the good people of Ogun State. I do not take for granted the journey that has brought me this far — a journey shaped by divine mercy, the unwavering support of my family, friends, and the trust reposed in me by our people.

These past six years as Governor of Ogun State have been both humbling and fulfilling. I have learned, grown, and drawn strength from the resilience of our citizens and the collective determination to build a state we can all be proud of. Every milestone we have reached is a testament to what is possible when leadership is driven by purpose and backed by the people.

As I celebrate this personal milestone, I am reminded that the true measure of a life well-lived is not in the number of years, but in the impact made. I rededicate myself to the vision of a more prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable Ogun State — where every citizen can thrive and every community feels seen.

The journey continues, and by God’s grace, the best is yet to come.
