 *[POLICE PRESS RELEASE]* EKITI POLICE ARREST 11 SUSPECTS OVER ATTACK ON OMOYELE SOWORE IN ADO-EKITI; INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.  The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested eleven (11) suspects in connection with the alleged attack on Mr Omoyele Sowore, an African Action Congress (AAC) presidential aspirant, and other persons at Tawakalitu Restaurant, Dalimore Area of Ado-Ekiti. Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad(RRS), based on a credible tip-off swooped on the hideouts of the suspects at Atikankan Area of Ado-Ekiti at about 10:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, where they were arrested. The suspects are: Joseph Tayo '32yrs', Olatunji Abayomi '41yrs', Isaac Amba '22yrs', Kehinde Ajigbana '18yrs', Tosin David '18yrs', Solomon Iyanu '18yrs', Ogunsola Ayomide '21yrs', Ojo Ayodeji '22yrs', Kayode Dada '32yrs', Segun Olatunji '28yrs' and Salami Emmanuel '53yrs'.  Actress Adunni Ade threatens legal action over alleged fabricated viral statement


Award-winning actress Adunni Ade has denied making a statement about her beauty and popularity hindering her marriage prospects.

A viral social media post attributed a quote to her, stating that she regretted not being married despite her good looks and popularity.

However, Adunni Ade quickly responded, calling the quote fabricated and demanding the post be removed within 24 hours to avoid legal action.

In her statement on X, Adunni Ade expressed frustration over the misuse of her name for generating engagement and emphasised that the quote was not from any verified interview or publication.

“I kindly request that you take down this post within 24 hours to prevent further action involving my legal team. I do not appreciate the fact that you’re using my name to peddle false news & articles with no verifiable source just to generate engagement,” she wrote.

She added on Instagram: “Trouble sleeping, yanga go wake am. Wetin you dey find? Na Palava you dey find, na palava you go see!”

She also referenced her last media interview in September 2024 for the movie “Tokunbo” and urged the outlet to refrain from using her name for social media engagement.
