 A California father made a split-second decision that cost him a leg but potentially saved his daughter's life.  It's been a couple of weeks since a fateful family trip to the grocery store completely altered the trajectory of Jordan Stannard's life. Jordan has used that time to think about the events of that evening and is still resolute that his reasoning was sound and he wouldn't change a thing. On that evening in mid-June, the family had taken a trip to the neighborhood grocery store. After making their purchases, it was getting dark as they made their way back to their vehicle, which was parked along the roadway.  As Jordan was loading the family's most precious cargo, their daughter, he noticed headlights heading straight towards them.  It quickly became apparent that the out of control truck was not going to alter its course.  Jordan had only seconds to react.  Jordan pulled the ultimate hero dad move.  Construction of Umuona-Aguluzigbo-Nanka Road, Assembly Member Expresses Satisfaction

The Anambra State House of Assembly Member representing Aguata II Constituency, Hon. Tony Muobike has expressed satisfaction with the quality of work at the on-going construction of Umuona-Aguluzigbo-Nanka road.


Speaking to the press after a visit to the site, Hon. Muobike thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for giving the people of the area sense of belonging, saying that the road when completed will make movement pleasurable and that it connects three local government areas of Aguata, Anaocha and Orumba North.


The General Manager IDC Construction Company Ltd, Mr Yousef Zreb said that the government had been supportive. He said that they will be done with asphalting of the road in few weeks.


Mr Zreb commended the cooperation of host communities, promising that the 8.5km road will be completed on schedule.
