 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister.  Construction of Umuona-Aguluzigbo-Nanka Road, Assembly Member Expresses Satisfaction

The Anambra State House of Assembly Member representing Aguata II Constituency, Hon. Tony Muobike has expressed satisfaction with the quality of work at the on-going construction of Umuona-Aguluzigbo-Nanka road.


Speaking to the press after a visit to the site, Hon. Muobike thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for giving the people of the area sense of belonging, saying that the road when completed will make movement pleasurable and that it connects three local government areas of Aguata, Anaocha and Orumba North.


The General Manager IDC Construction Company Ltd, Mr Yousef Zreb said that the government had been supportive. He said that they will be done with asphalting of the road in few weeks.


Mr Zreb commended the cooperation of host communities, promising that the 8.5km road will be completed on schedule.
