 DSS Debunks Recruitment Rumors, Urges Public to Disregard False Reports


The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed circulating reports claiming it is currently recruiting, labeling them as false and misleading. The agency specifically addressed rumors suggesting it was accepting applications for roles such as electricians, plumbers, mechanics, and carpenters, purportedly targeting holders of primary and secondary school certificates.


In a statement posted on its official X account on Wednesday, the DSS urged Nigerians to ignore the claims. “The public is advised to disregard any misleading or false information about the service’s recruitment process. Disregard such claims, please,” the post read.

The agency emphasized that no recruitment exercise is underway and cautioned the public against falling for fraudulent reports.
