 A California father made a split-second decision that cost him a leg but potentially saved his daughter's life.  It's been a couple of weeks since a fateful family trip to the grocery store completely altered the trajectory of Jordan Stannard's life. Jordan has used that time to think about the events of that evening and is still resolute that his reasoning was sound and he wouldn't change a thing. On that evening in mid-June, the family had taken a trip to the neighborhood grocery store. After making their purchases, it was getting dark as they made their way back to their vehicle, which was parked along the roadway.  As Jordan was loading the family's most precious cargo, their daughter, he noticed headlights heading straight towards them.  It quickly became apparent that the out of control truck was not going to alter its course.  Jordan had only seconds to react.  Jordan pulled the ultimate hero dad move.  Four Killed as Coach from Zimbabwe to Cape Town Overturns on N1


A long-distance coach travelling from Zimbabwe to Cape Town overturned on the N1 road between Murraysburg and Colesburg, claiming the lives of four people on Sunday, 25 May 2025.


The bus was carrying 53 occupants when the accident occurred. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene to assist the injured and transport them to nearby hospitals.


Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash. The names of the deceased have not yet been released, pending notification of their families.


More updates will follow as the investigation continues.
