 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. Gospel singer Big Bolaji buried in Ibadan


Popular Nigerian gospel artiste, Bolaji Olanrewaju, popularly known as Big Bolaji, has been laid to rest in Ibadan, Oyo State, following his death on April 19 after a brief illness.

He was 50 years old.

The final rites began on Wednesday with a funeral service and lying-in-state held at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan.

The solemn event drew family members, close friends, and a host of fellow gospel singers who came to pay their last respects.

Among those in attendance were notable figures in the gospel music community, including Tosin Bee, Mike Abdul, Bidemi Olaoba, Yetunde Are, and popular comedian, Woli Agba.

Emotional moments captured on social media showed pallbearers carrying Bolaji’s flower-decked casket into the venue, as mourners gathered in silence.

A moving tribute video chronicling his musical journey and spiritual impact was played during the service, drawing tears and applause from attendees.

Following the service, the burial procession proceeded to All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan, where Big Bolaji was laid to rest.

His wife, siblings, and loved ones stood in quiet reflection as the singer was committed to the earth.
